About the Modifications:

The Twin Finity 710 UA is a nice sounding preamp but in its price range isn’t the best performer out there. 

There are a number of bottlenecks in the circuit that are the root cause, some are places where design improvements can be made and other are limitations of performance as a result of the active and passive components in the design. 

We find them to sound too pushed in the midrange without much extension in the low end and top end response. 

Clarity is decent with the design but there is always room for improvement there as well.

Headroom is noticeably lacking as the audio approaches clipping the audio really smalls up and becomes brittle.

The Modifications:

We perform a full audio path upgrade for the entire circuit and pull out all components in the audio path.

We then tune the circuit for more musicality as well as to have better headroom, bandwidth, detail, frequency response and better signal to noise. 

During the upgrade The Tube is also replaced the power supply overhauled for the best possible performance for the design. 

We replace all amps with Burr Brown High Performance amps, capacitor types and values get adjusted and bypassing in the DC rails is performed for lower noise as well.

Purchasers will find that the musicality and performance is increased to a nice Price to Performance ratio after modifications. 

Our modifications really push the performance the design to the limit with a low noise tube, Burr Brown Opamps and some engineering know how. ​
