MODIFIED:CLASSIC DBX 160X MONO COMPRESSOR WITH VCA UPGRADE

Up for sale is a Vintage, Japan Made version,  Revive Audio Modified DBX 160x compressor limiter with that also has our optional VCA upgrade installed as well. 

This unit is in good shape and sound excellent!

This one sounds beautiful with the modifications and offers voltage switching from 120v-240v for our international customers.

This 160x has our Revive Audio DBX 160x modification which includes a power supply modification, VCA Upgrade, Service of all pots and switches as well as Burr Brown input and output stage modification and some other trade secrets.

The VCA is the heart of this unit and all audio passes thru it. This service is an additional $35 normally is a really nice add-on that softens the knee when compressing and delivers lower artifacts when compressing heavy which is why we recommend it with every mod we do on vintage DBX compressors. 

The service overall increases the headroom of the unit, widens the frequency response, lowers the noise and increases the detail of the three dimensional image.

When all said an done we get a much more professional sounding compressor that's suitable for any task.
